Chinese industrial sewing equipment manufacturer Jack Technology is deploying Siemens software to integrate humanoid robots and AI systems into its apparel manufacturing facilities.
Jack Technology will use Siemens' Intelligence Center X, an industrial AI orchestration software. The deployment includes Mendix for low-code application development and Designcenter for product engineering. According to Siemens, this software suite will help Jack design, simulate, and manufacture complex mechanical systems, including humanoid robots designed for sewing workshops.
The sewing equipment maker operates in over 160 countries. The company faces market pressures for shorter lead times, lower costs, and increased product customization. By adding humanoid robots to traditional sewing environments, Jack expects to increase overall manufacturing efficiency by up to 30 percent. The company states the integration will also shorten development cycles and optimize production workflows.
Raymond Kok, CEO of Mendix, stated that combining low-code development with digital product engineering allows manufacturers to "move faster from concept to production." To support the rollout, Siemens will provide technical training to help Jack build a digital platform specific to the sewing equipment industry.
